A summer night with my lady and my bike.

A friend recently sent me this photo of Jordan and I cruising on my motorbike. It was taken on our our way home from the beach. The photo made me miss my bike, and the adventures that we had on it. Sadly my bike sits in the back yard uninsured. My bicycle will do until the spring.

Faces of Vancouver

We made these to show some people we don't see very often, the people we see often.

Street Punk

This girl is a street punk with some brown and blue hair and three dreads. She has tons of gnarly tattoos and piercings and owns a brown dog. She panhandles by attaching a string to a stick and a cup to the bottom of the string like a fishing pole. Sometimes she sits on the sidewalk and holds a sign that says "I bet you a dollar you'll read this". I always read it and then feel tricked.

Luigi

This guy is one of three hundred thousand Italians who lives in the area. At odd hours in the night and early morning, he shuffles to one of the Italian cafes on the drive. He goes there to spit and speak loudly in Italian to other old Italian men, who are also spitting, smoking and speaking over each other. But mostly to watch soccer.

Weekend rider

One of the many rich lawyers who likes to think he is a motorcycle rider. Blasting around on his brand new Harley complete with full leathers, skull cap, and a cross bones bandanna. He only rides his bike when it is sunny out and the streets are full of young ladies to impress.

Vinny

He works at JJ Bean (a hipster coffee shop on commercial dr.). For some reason girls think his thick rimed glasses, tight button-up shirt and disgusting mustache attractive.

Motorcycle Mayhema

Last night was possibly one of the craziest nights I have ever experienced. Aaron, Jared and I rode down to Abbotsford to the motorcycle show. Inside was the usual twenty thousand dollar bikes, rich dudes, and girls wearing skimpy clothing. However, out back was the exact opposite. It was a Vicious Cycles show/ Rat bike race.

It was too classic to even imagine. Pylons, hay bales, car tires, and a wooden jump. It was straight out of "On Any Sunday". We obviously could not resist and joined in on the race with our street bikes. I don't know how the administration let it happen. The dude that won was riding a hard tail.

I guess it is pretty hard to stop a bunch of motorcycle riding punks.

Pansy Trampolines

Christian coming from Uxbridge on his cross Canada motorcycling trip and Jordan coming from Vancouver on a last minute road trip to Winnipeg.
We meet in the middle for some extreme trampoline-ing in Pansy, Manitoba.
